Illuminating the dark universe with Big Data (in English)

Recent progress in observational techniques has shown that two mysterious components dominate our universe: dark matter and dark energy. Their nature is unknown and poses some of the most pressing questions in fundamental science today. Several large new experiments aim to shed light on these mysteries. They will generate very large data sets, the analysis of which presents both a challenge and an opportunity for data mining science.
